| It’s Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books | 1988 | Richard Linklater | Experimental drama, road movie | Travel and restlessness, idleness, everyday routine, solitude | Not rated | My review of the film It’s Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books is this. I have seen more boring films in my life. I have. I’m sure of it. I’m just not sure which one. I appreciated the long form cuts. I appreciated that it is a train film. A journey film. A cassette-based medium. But ultimately, my lord, I was bored. | 2 Oct 2026 |
