1. Welcome to the service
Richard
2. Call to Worship
Roger
In such a space as this,
open to all,
we open ourselves
to the God who has journeyed with us.
And in such a space as this we
wait,
long,
pray,
worship.

4. Acknowledgement of Country
Roger
For thousands of years Indigenous people have walked in this land, on their own country.
Their relationship with the land is at the centre of their lives.
We acknowledge the Kaurna People and their stewardship of this land throughout the ages.
Opening Prayer
Roger
Loving and Creative One,
We come together this morning to worship, to reflect, to be.
We come to open ourselves up to the mystery of Your love.
We come to bask in Your presence.
As we enter this time of worship, help us to have compassion for others.
Help us to have compassion for ourselves.
May this compassion lead us toward liberation.
Amen.
— Richard Telfer.

Let us open ourselves to the process of becoming more whole:
of living more fully;
of giving and forgiving more freely;
of understanding more completely
the meaning of our lives here on this earth.

13. Prayers for Others and Ourselves
Roger
God of love,
as we take time to pray for others
as well as ourselves,
we ask you to hold those
who have been deprived of love in our world.
May you be with those who feel unloved
or who have found love to be painful.
We pray for those who have been traumatised
by the breakdown of a marriage,
a relationship,
a friendship.
May you be with them all,
assuring them of your presence
and your endless love.
We pray for all who struggle to love.
We take time to remember those
who have been betrayed,
as well as those who bear
the physical and mental scars
of difficult relationships.
May you be with them all,
assuring them of your presence
and your endless love.
God of young and old,
we thank you that you love us all as your children.
Our world is full of complex relationships—
rollercoasters of joy and sorrow,
pleasure and pain,
laughter and tears…
Blessed with the gift of your love,
may you help us to never forget
the love we have enjoyed
with those who are no longer with us.
(Pause)
Help the flame of love to continue
to burn brightly in our hearts
and assure us that your love
will never let us down nor let us go…
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

14. Offering / Responding
All
God of all creation;
through your goodness
we can offer these gifts of money to you—
fruit of our labour and of the skills
you have given us.
Take these and use them,
take us and use us
to do your work in this church
and throughout your world.
Amen.
